Ambleside Together Statement of Faith<\/strong>\n\n\u25cf Concerning the Bible \nIt is the complete inerrant word of God. (II Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1: 19-21, Revelation 22: 18-19) \n\n\u25cf Concerning God \nThe one eternal God manifests Himself in three distinct persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Romans 1:7, Hebrews 1:8, Acts 5: 3-4)\n \n\u25cf Concerning Christ \nHe is God.  He was born of the Virgin Mary. He lived on earth as a perfect man, was crucified and died for our sins and rose on the third day. He ascended into heaven. He acts as our High Priest and advocate for us, His people. He will return. (John 1:1, Romans 9:5, Matthew 1:18-25, I Peter 2:21-22, Hebrews 4:15, I Corinthians 15:3-4, Hebrews 10:12, Hebrews 10:21-22, I John 2:1, Matthew 24, 25:31-46, John 14:1-3) \n\n\u25cf Concerning the Holy Spirit \nHe indwells, illuminates, guides, equips and empowers believers through the power of Christ to live a godly life, in service of the Living God. (Ephesians1: 18-23) \n\n\u25cf Concerning Salvation \nSalvation is for those who believe through faith in Christ Jesus, and it is a gift, complete and eternal. (Romans 1:16, John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8, Hebrews 5:9, John 10:26-30) \n\n\u25cf Concerning Prayer \nWe believe in the power of prayer, both individual and corporate. (Matthew 7:7, Mark 11:24, John 14:13-14. Ephesians 6:18, Phillipians 4:6-7 \n\n\u25cf Concerning Children \nWe are devoted to training our children in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6). We commit to teach the children in our classes from a biblical worldview. (Deuteronomy 6:5-7)\n \n\u25cf Concerning Spiritual Unity \nWe believe in the spiritual unity of believers through our common faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that individual doctrinal differences which may exist outside the aforementioned, should not hinder the unity of Christian home educators. (Romans 12:16, 14:19, Acts 4:32, 1 Peter 3:8) \n\n\u25cf Concerning Marriage \nWe believe that God created man and woman in his own image, different but with equal value in his eyes. (Genesis 1:26-28). We believe God ordained marriage as a union between a man and a woman. (Genesis 2:18, Matthew 19:4-6) \n\n\u25cf Concerning Forgiveness \nWe believe that God loves and pursues mankind despite our rebellion and offers forgiveness, healing, and abundant life to anyone who turns to him. (Romans 5:8, John 3:17, 10:10, Titus 3:3-7) \n\n\n<\/pre>\n\n\n\n

At Ambleside Together we strive to follow Charlotte Mason\u2019s 20 principles<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Atmosphere<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
We seek to create an atmosphere where students are using living books to grow in their appreciation for knowledge.  Striving for excellence, we work to make a space for community with others that share our values. We depend on the Holy Spirit as our teacher. Taking the example of the Ambleside Online Auxiliary, we cultivate a spirit of generosity rather than making a profit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Discipline<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a community, we support our families with character building, and encourage them to be involved in their local church so that they can grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are committed to continuing education for moms, through our monthly book club.  We Aim for best effort with all written and oral work<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Life<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our goal is to keep our tuition affordable so that there can be a liberal education for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With an emphasis on a generous curriculum with living ideas, we work to inspire and encourage each other by offering subjects that are more challenging to teach on one\u2019s own, or more fun to do in a group.
