Our Mission
We are a co-op style tutorial on the south side of Franklin, TN that supports Moms as they spread the feast of a Charlotte Mason education for their children, ultimately pointing them to Christ. Meeting weekly, we seek to foster community for our children grades 1-12. We are accepting applications for new families for the 2023-2024 school year.
We are a Charlotte Mason co-op style tutorial for grades 1-12 that is based off of the Ambleside Online curriculum.
Our days start with Morning Time, where we share the riches together. . .Prayer, Scripture Reading, Scripture Memory, Hymns, Artist Study, Folk Songs, Composer Study. Then, we split into age-appropriate classes. Older students will be studying Plutarch, Shakespeare, current events, art class, biology, and nature study. Younger students will be reading classic books and fairy tales, studying geography, grammar, music class, Swedish drill and nature study.
Our tutorial requires homework to be done at home (especially in the upper grades), to be ready for classes. There will be homework for Plutarch, Shakespeare, and science class. Students are expected to be prepared for their classes each week.
We have a monthly Mom’s Book Club that is required attendance for all moms of students. We believe it is very important as the primary educators of our children, that we are learning and growing in our knowledge of the Charlotte Mason method. This is also a time for much needed encouragement and relationship building! This Book Club will be meeting on the second Tuesday of the month for the 2023-2024 school year.
For the 2024-2025 school year we will be meeting on Mondays 8:45am-2pm. In order to keep costs down, we ask that all moms of students volunteer in some way within our tutorial. We are a co-op style tutorial, and it takes all of us working together to keep it going! There are opportunities for teaching, assisting, supervising, and cleaning.
We have a non-refundable application fee of $40 per family, which will be applied to your tuition fee for the year. Our tuition fee for 2024-2025 is $150 for the year per child. There may also be some small lab fees and art class fees. If you are ready to be involved and share our vision, we would love to hear from you!
